Dr. Gerts graduated from New York University in 2002. From 2002-2003, he had completed residency training in the Staten Island University Hospital where he excelled in all the aspects of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Gerts received an award for being a resident who has exemplified leadership qualities, quality patient care and desire to further oneself professionally. In 2004, Dr. Gerts completed fellowship in oral surgery as well as mini-residency in implantology.

Through following the latest research and committing himself to continuing education courses, Dr. Gerts is able to always stay on top of the latest technologies and techniques in dentistry. This tendency to evolve with the field does more than just ensure that he has an extraordinarily advanced understanding of his profession. In 2009, Consumer Research Council of America selected Dr. Gerts as one of America’s top dentists. He then became a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2011.
